Oh why? Like that you are paying $3.21 for MyRepublic SIM delivery and giga $2 SIM delivery. Just to get back deposit? Then can port back to MyRepublic?

I will just take it that I am paying $3.21 to MyRepublic for its free "transfer of ownership" service and migrate out.

No point porting back to MyRepublic as they will saddle me with the deposit requirement again. Will migrate to Giga and stay there.

I just saw Giga also 6Gb $10. Not bad ****

Yah, they recently upped the $10 plan from 5GB to 6GB. Their data can roll over too so one can potentially use 12GB (current month 6GB + previous 2 months roll over, up to max 6GB) for one month if required.

The only bad thing is its 100m talktime and 100sms, but I think I can manage.

Planning to port over to MR from M1. Contract ending on 9th Aug. Can advise which day to sign up on the 9th or the day after? How long will they take to port over?

U can sign up now, cos I dun think u will be able to get a delivery date before 9th Aug. When I signed up, the earliest delivery date for me was 2 weeks later.

If u do find a delivery date before 9 Aug then dun choose it.

Of course, if u are going to the MR official store, then try to go after 9 Aug since u get the sim card immediately.

I'm planning to go to the physical store. The porting process is immediate or will take a few days?

I am not sure about sim cards obtained from the physical stores, but as far as my sim card from delivery, the activation is on the same day as delivery, aka delivery in the day and porting after 11pm.

You can sign up now, chose delivery date after 10 Aug. Porting takes place the same day of delivery after 11am.

Alternatively, you can visit any MyRepublic stores on 10 Aug to sign up, save on $3.21 delivery fee

Thanks for all the helpful replies. As I'm staying in the East, it is necessary to go to the Official Store or Dealer/Reseller store can provide the same level of service?

Should be same level of service, since the physical store is meant to serve customer for broadband and mobile services.

Hi, I intend to port out from the MyRepublic $10 plan to GIGA.

Do I have to inform MyRepublic in advance?

Thank you.

You do not need to inform your previous operator about porting out. As long as your bills is paid for, and there's no existing contract to fulfill (or is willing to pay for the termination charges), you're all good to port out.

The new operator will help you to inform and do the handover automatically.

This is industry norm, so I'm not saying what operator is what.

Any CIS no contract plans? Did I missed out at the web page?

Yes. You have to PM them on chat, I checked with them just last week. But my company was not enrolled in their cis program. However, a check with them, they said it's just discount off.

Anyone can port in immediately on weekEnds by going to MR Stores instead of online sign up w port in?
MR indicates 1 - 2 Working days to process port in.
Singtel Contract ends on 22 Aug, Sat,
On 23 Aug, Sun, is it faster to sign up w port in at MR Stores?
