I only received an SMS that said my number port request has been submitted to previous service provider for processing, and I will be notified of the outcome via SMS within the next 3 working days.

But I haven't received this second SMS yet, will port in still happen? Today is Day 2 since signing up...

I applied for eSIM hoping it would be done faster maybe I should have signed up for it in Feb instead since tmr is the start of my new billing cycle with giga

I ported out from CL and took about 3 days before my esim from MR took over my original number. Hopefully just some small operational issues to work out for MR at the start of 5G esim.

I see, did you receive a second SMS confirming whether your porting application was successful and the date that your port in to MyRepublic would take place?

Generally, I always give it a buffer of at least a week. The porting can take up to 3 working days, assuming that all goes well; sometimes got some cock up from one side or the other & need to redo. Add in the CNY super long weekend, sure a lot of backlog to clear.

Or even more than a week, some MVNO’s require you to port out 7 days before renewal or they will still charge you for the month ahead.

I am sure they can downgrade for you.. There is a supported 5g device on their website

S22ultra
no la it's my fault that didnt bother to click the list of supported device before proceed
they mention that it cant be downgraded at sign up page, probably is because they are migrating customer from 4G (M1) to 5G (Starhub) and cant u turn after that
and personally I feel that Starhub line is slightly better inside NEL tunnel, "slightly"

After porting to the new 5G line last week, I have been unable to receive calls and SMS/OTP from Singtel lines. Starhub / M1 lines can SMS and call me with no issues. When Singtel lines try to call in they will hear ""this is the singtel mobile announcement service, the number you have just called is not in use"

I suspect likely some issues with Singtel during porting but Myrepublic support not very helpful, keep pointing the problem to my device (S22). After a lengthy chat with the support officer, they now says need to check further and will reply within 7 days.

Anyone knows what could be the issue or have similar problems?

I had the same issue. I had a different experience though, it got resolved within a day. Maybe SingTel side need to update their system or something. Wait out a day or two.

Upgraded from 4G to 5G plan and realised iPhone 12 pro is not supported...
wahaha damn it
Same here. It is interesting to know that Gomo supports 5G on the ip12pro but not on MR. I was with Gomo 5G before this and for normal usage, I don’t feel any difference with the current 4G network on MR. It is also cheaper with esim, so I am not complaining.

Gomo is using different 5G if you dont know they are NSA which is 4G spectrum . Myrepublic is full SA 5G ... you can find more info on web whats the difference ..

Does anyone know the technical reasons why iPhone 12 is not supported on everyone's 5G SA network?
iPhone 12 supports all n1 (2100 MHz), n40 (TD 2300) and n78 (TD 3500) bands used by the three telcos for their 5G SA networks.

The SMS told me the porting would be done the same night.
Thanks - I made it barely - MyRepublic sure is interesting - my giga SIM just became de-provisioned 3 minutes ago without any warning and then my eSIM port in became successful - all SMSes received within 3 minutes of each other. Can't complain since now I don't have to pay another month's subscription to giga!

Usually if I apply port out say today, when will the port out happen? My bill ends 31 Jan for current telco so if I sign today at shop will I make it in time to get ported out by 31?
