Agree with your points
My idea is more about letting restriction kicks in earlier after 50GB instead of 100GB, but increase cap speed higher which will allow 1080p YouTube streaming.
Most will not exceed 3mbps and remember, if no constant abuse, this is as good as an unlimited plan. If you done encoding video, 3mbps is a lot of bandwidth for a video. Instagram is another. So practically you are paying $30 for a 4GB/day, which gives you 4x 45mins 1080p videos, enough to catch all Oppa drama. Of course if you cap it at 10GB a day to prevent abuse by people. M1 and SH already charging $6 for unlimited weekend data (or 8 days worth). 4 times 8 days and $24 is what they are charging but at full speed.
Will not work out, users will be going off instead of allowing telco to sustain that business.
For marketing purpose, this is hard to sell... consumers are happy to give their money if they see the immediate benefit. You are telling consumers “hey we want to cut you many times.... hahaha...
These 2 good plans, I will take the $25 any time.
telling users “I am selling a 3G plan”For marketing purpose, you gonna lose 80% of the market but gain 20% abusers
This will happen when 5G is in full stream but at $20 I wouldn’t want to pay for that.
The $15/20 were designed to make people repel from it, and go for the higher end plans. It's the strategy that works.
The $25/35 will still be considered expensive for people that doesn't realise that 1.5Mbps is enough for stable 720p YouTube streaming. But for the more tech savvy ones, yes it'll be decent.
The $50 plan is for those that want more data but don't always need full speed. It's still a lot of data, and 10Mbps ain't slow either actually.
The $75 plan is taken from the idea of Verizon Wireless (USA)'s Visible plan, where the data was deprioritized but completely unlimited, at USD40. Adding full speed in the bundle to at least make those customers not feel like it's a rip-off.
In case you think that the Visible $40 plan doesn't work, it's clear that it works. A lot of YouTube videos are talking on how it's the best Verizon mobile plan out there, as long as you are willing to give up on the fastest speed possible.
