Anybody on MR can say whether Mr is still sending email to inform maintenance in the wee hours every now and then? I work night shift and it is affecting me. It's quite frequent that service disruption is taking place for maintenance.

Thus, I signed up Giga and ported over from MY 2 months ago. But now I'm tempted to sign back MY due to this flash deal.

I'm still using MR and still receives regular maintenance emails. Happens at 2am. I think won't be advisable if you're working night shift. I won't say it's a disruption, but to keep their service stable and doing some fine tuning. I think you stay at giga for now.

Otherwise you can consider M1 SIM Only, with 40Gb data at $20/mth

The maintenance that occurred on 8-Oct-20 didn't change a thing. The MR/M1 network frequently drops for 20-30 seconds, and also often stops data transmission while the network appears fine with full bars.

Same here in King Albert Park area, recent MR SIM card that connects to M1,
M1 network full bars, excellent bandwidth BUT data connection drops every 30-40 minutes and even sometimes it's even the whole network connection that disappears (the doomed X instead of the bars)

We are being promised no throttling up to 4GB however we get instead regular dropped connections.

I still hope this is configuration issues fixable at M1 side...

Port out if a telco doesn't suit you, don't get drawn into chasing the numbers (data) & statistics like some. Easy & convenient nowadays with no contract and no lack of choices

Is not M1 issue. This happened to just MR.my CL no issue at all. In the end, MR say they no problem so I just port out since the network is unusable. I suggest
you port out too.

Don’t remember there is any penalty in their T&C

You need to stay for a minimum of 2 billing cycles. i.e. Have received and paid for at least 2 bills.

Not sure if u can port out in less than 1 month. Please try and let everyone else know.

confirme no penalty, u just pay the full month of subscription (no pro-rate). technically today u sign up the MR and the line is activated. the next second you can already port out.

What's their billing cycle? Based on activation date then recurring or pro-rated first month then starts every first of the month?

On Circles Line, underground can't surf/watch streaming
MR can.

Maybe others have different experience
