Is not M1 issue. This happened to just MR.my CL no issue at all. In the end, MR say they no problem so I just port out since the network is unusable. I suggest
you port out too.

Yes I know it's not M1 physical network issue, M1 has a solid and stable connection. It's on MR back-end management.
And yes, only resort is to port out. I gave them a chance to fix this though...

Take note for those who don't know. Since August, MR always have this 'Scheduled' or 'Emergency' maintenance anytime from 0000 to 0600 hrs on a stated day, duration of either 2hrs or 10 mins. They will send email to inform the subscribers. It happened 7, 8 times from Aug to Sept alone. I terminated end Sept to Giga.

I just did a live chat with MR, they confirmed such maintenance is still ongoing and not able to tell when this will stop. Prior to Aug, there isn't such maintenance downtime since I signed up 2 years ago. For those working night shifts, take note no voice, sms, data services will be available during maintenance.

Does My Republic Need any Deposit for Port in? Any Delivery and SIM charges?

Delivery of SIM costs $5. However you can get your SIM from their shops for free.

Deposit, depends, some users here was faced with $100 deposit. I don't know how they derive the credit rating, but you can try signing up, and if you didn't see upfront cost, then there's no deposit.

I had a very bad experience with MyRepublic.

1) I tried to use live chat to change my sim card delivery date but every time my turn comes, it will disconnect and ask me to reconnect. After that, I will be given a new queue number. It happened for 3 times on 2 separate handphones. It wasted at least 1 hour of my time waiting for nothing. This is very bad service since this is the only channel I can use to change the sim delivery date.

2) I went to a physical store to get my sim card as I needed it urgently. Then, when I tried to enter my new password for the app, it kept failing even though I keyed in 8 characters with at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number. No matter what password I used it kept failing.

Just to let others know what to expect when they sign on MyRepublic for the first time. I hope I'm only the minority in experiencing these issues.

Just curious from someone looking for new provider to port in. Is there an app for MR users to track talk time and data usage?

Port to giga and port out again.
Giga doesn’t need 2 billing cycle.

$10 + $2 delivery.
Currently $1 off.

If I have a $10 MyRepublic plan on a number, and I want to switch to MyRepublic $17 sales plan. What is the easiest and cheapest method to do?

It's only till 3 Nov. I think it's quite risky to port out and in.

I think these type of sales is hyping up every mvno, even M1 has $20 for 40GB. I think you can wait for better deals

True. Alternatively I think it is to sign a new MR $17 line, then port out the existing MR $10 out to other telco says giga. Then later just submit a form port the giga number to the new MR $17. This way will not be limited by the sales end date.

Just sign up for the plan on the last day and choose the latest possible delivery date. Should be possible.
