N7105 Root and custom rom flashing tutorial (R&D stage)

I dont know but i got an idea, if i were to buy an n7105 but i use 3g instead of 4g.. i could just flash n7100 roms since the modem is affecting 4g networks... idk but it was something i thought of randomly

I don't think it is just affecting 4G signals. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I don't recall wrongly I did not have cell signal AT ALL.

don't think you flash a n7100 rom on n7105 although they are almost the same but its quite risky!

Just wondering if it is wise to flash back to stock and pull the OTA from the cache, to see what files changed (especially in modem/baseband), and from there maybe we can get a step closer to porting n7100 roms to n7105.

Anyone has experience doing these?

Talking about this, I wonder anyone willing to pull the OTA file out and host it people like me to download? So I can flash it via CWMR

Yes, there is no signal at all.
I tried that when I got my phone last week.

I downloaded ALJ3 from Sammobile and flash the rom and Cwm recovery via mobile odin. Everything went fine. Root intact and data remains... I'm posting this from my updated note 2 csc code still retain as xsp.

Any will do. The diff between the file is just the default csc... If you are not intending to wipe data, your current mm1 csc will be used after the update
