We ain't sure unless someone restore to stock and root using the NEW 7105 Auto CF root and see if they can do OTA. Since the different between version 1 and new version is the recovery used. V1 using N7000 recovery and N7105 version aka v2 uses N7105 recovery.

It might be the recovery that caused it. Need someone to verify this. :s11:
There isn't a need to restore to stock. Just reboot using N7105 CF Auto Root. At least that is what CF told me

Nope, didn't work, re-root using the 7105 CF Auto Root, cannot OTA update.

Maybe I'll try to flash back to stock see can OTA update, device still showing "modified" after triangle away.

so to get back OTA yet root our sgn2,

-we have to download the stock firmware (LIJ), flash it back to stock firmware.

-update OTA to LJ3

-run CF-autoroot

am i right? or am i missing out on something here?

BTW, anyone loaded custom ROM from XDA ? Which one is recommended ?

Came from Chrack V16, Note.

I notice N7100 ROM will screw up N7105 radio, where can I get N7105DXALJ1 modem.bin file or N7105XXXLJ1 bin file for int'l ready modem ? :D

Not possible to do it the easy way. Tested about one whole day with a XDA dev. Better luck waiting for ROMs with cross-variant support or a N7105 ROM.

Someone needs to try rooting it with the n7105 CF-autoroot from a freshly installed LIJ rom.

I'm kind of hesitating to jump over to Note 2 when the problem of not being able to port N7100 custom ROMs and the lack of support for N7105 on XDA so far is kinda holding me back. Anyone who has the same opinion as I do? :)

Any updates whether XDA developers will work on N7105 development? :)

I rooted with the new CF auto root thingie

Also tried Triangle Away - how to check if it's showing zero or modified? hahah

Anyway, when I tried Triangle Away, it had to go into reboot mode to run as well

Triangle away meant for binary counter.

Go to settings -> about device scroll all the way down.

Hosehbo? so you restore to stock LIJ and root using the N7015 auto c-f. So the status still show modified? Setting > About > Status - Scroll all the way down.

If it also show modified after using N7105 Auto C-F, can do OTA update?

follow what bro webbyboy said. boot into recovery mode and wipe data and cache. be warned though that your phone will lose all data and apps so do backup first.

after that can update OTA already.

however, my status still shows modified after i had updated via CF autoroot. havent triangle away yet though.
