Here's a quick summary of what i've done to the XSP set i got from mobilehub, just need you guys to help me if I should be expecting any updates:

Details:
AP: N7105XXALIJ
CP: N7105DXALIB
CSC: N7105OLBALIB

Rooted via TS's guide, went on to install TriangleAway.
Then... Did a Reset via TriangleAway.
Status: Modified

Flashing Back to Stock ROM
ODIN - PDA - N7105XXALIJ_N7105OLBALIB_N7105DXALIB_HOME.tar (supposedly the m1 firmware aka Sg Generic Firmware)
Status: Normal

Not necessarily. I didn't get the OTA updates :V

True. One of my friend who bought his note 2 from challenger store. Still can't received OTA no matter how he tried. He on the LIJ stock rom which came with the phone.

PS: It the same fw we get during the launch event.

no man. i have just flashed to the LIJ stock firmware and updated OTA to the LJ3 firmware.

right now i'm preparing to root using autoCF first.

So.. so far no 1 tried the following method yet right?

The purpose is to test if using the new N7105 auto root, will it affect ota or not.

Step 1: Restore to LIJ stock rom
Step 2: Root using N7105 Auto root by C-F (Status show normal or modified?)
Step 3: check see if can OTA? (Yes or No?)

Cheers!

As long you flash back stock firmware it will show Normal and you can do OTA Updates

Hi,

Yes I have flashed to stock firmware (generic Sg fw aka m1). I do not have any OTA updates too.

Simply because he's not on a telco csc(SH/ST). XSP generic csc don't get any updates yet. Use csc changer to change it to SH or ST, i am not sure about M1. :)

Ok. For the benefit of those who haven't tried, I used this program, and it's tested and working on N7105 XALIJ. This is the so-called CSC changer app.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tYW5uaWFray5jc2NzZWxlY3RvciJd

You will be presented with a list. SIN for singtel STH for starhub and MM1 for m1 obviously. XSP would be no carrier (to remove bloatware, but with this option you wont be able to update to LJ3, just fyi).

Who would use this?
- People on old version and want to update to the LJ3 firmware.
- People who would want to get rid of the bloatware and do not need the features (or lack of) that LJ3 gives.

Isn't LJ3 buggy? Why would you want to upgrade?

I'm not sure but from what I understand, the buggy version was LJ1? I just updated to LJ3, I'm still getting the 4G icon/signal thing.

Will test for a bit and report back.

those getting lj3 update came from which telco?

Seriously, read my posts. I bought my phone from 3rd party shop and still able to get LJ3 update. Just use the app I posted. Anything aside from XSP in that menu would get you the LJ3 update.
