I did not change the CSC; not really sure what is the implication, heck just went ahead. There is a guide few posts ago talking about copying your CSC folder and overwriting it after flashing.

I flashed it over LJ3 and it did not wipe my stuff. Everything is intact. Initially was fine then there was some problem with my contacts syncing and fc pop up. I resorted factory reset and wiped out everything in the phone (except my sd card).

So far okay.

Bro here's the step:

LJ4 HK Based CSC = TGY
LJ1 SG Based CSC = XSP(unbranded) STH(Starhub) MM1(M1) SIN(Singtel)

Method Using Root Explorer

Phone must be rooted first*

1. Use Odin put this FILE (extract for the tar file) under PDA
2. Restart and you're rooted
3. Go Google Play, Download Root Explorer
4. Open the App at the top panel u should see Mounted as r/o: Mount r/w <-- click that (enables you to edit)
5. Locate /system/csc (copy whole csc folder) to sdcard

--------- Flash Hk Firmware -------------

6. Repeat Step 1 (Flash HK Firmware N7105ZHALJ4_N7105ZZHALJ4_N7105ZHALJ4_HOME.tar) put it under PDA
7. Locate /system/csc (delete whole csc folder)
8. Paste your local csc
9. Set your APN, if not sure dl tweakker apn (Wizard Based)
10. Enjoy

Once done if there's any applications encounter any Force Close or crash. Do Factory Reset!:s12:

Data wont wipe, but you may encounter issues such as application not responding such S Planner/S Note or Contacts issues. LJ4 uses CSC TGY, HK Telco settings.

would there be any difference if I use Singtel Firmware on a Starhub N7105?

No... All the local rom is the same... Only diff is the default csc set. All the local rom contain xsp, sin, shh and mm1 csc
