N7105 Root and custom rom flashing tutorial (R&D stage)

ok finally upgraded to the LJ4 fw. will see how it goes and make an update. did not have to do any factory reset. everything else looks fine.

what i did was:

1. download root explorer.
2. open root explorer, at the top, should see Mounted as r/o: change it to Mounted as r/w:
3. Locate /system/csc and copy the whole csc folder to sdcard
4. flash to HK fm LJ4
5. root via autoCF
6. open root explorer and copy the csc folder from sdcard to /system/

so far so good.

Edit: I noticed SH and M1 has no bloatware apps, is this true?

it is not the laziness,...it is because already flashed to LJ4 before copy the CSC files......

hi guys, some of my apps are not working after flashing LJ4
i.e, not showing in notifications, eg facebook, instagram

gmail also syncs slowly

isit due to the LJ4 or cos when i restore my apps using Titanium backup, i did a app+full system restore? any ideas?

You should only restore user app only...

even to restore missing application + system data according to guide, may not guarantee a safe restore.....

Just wipe data of the affected using tb will do... Twitter always have notification problem...

I have overwritten the CSC folder; the CSC (*#1234#) will still show the Hong Kong CSC right? Just to make sure I am doing it correctly though it is quite straight forward.

quick update: just realised the problem with the phone log so no choice did a backup and factory reset.

I find it more laggy than the odex...

I just flashed too, but the multiwindow like got issue with the Directory bind.....and very laggy

Btw, I just flashed 4.2 Camera and Photo Sphere is working

can someone tell what Rom is good right now with full root? And wont affect anything on the phone... i had since ppls here after root look like unstable... something like battery problem, camera, lag, 4G signal, Ects... so can someone intro a good program to root rom pls..
