This past 12 Months I been to Japan 4x. My fifth time will be in Jan 2020. Thanks to recommendations here. Visited many places in different cities within Japan.

What can i do there in 2-3days? I will be there mid Jan. Over the weekend. Any recommendations. Wonder if its snowing. Or nice places to eat. Likely to be solo. No one in my coy got deployed there except me.

Thanks!

went there few weeks back setting as a base to Gujo Hachiman.

Eat: a lot of things to eat especially thoseUnagi Hitsumaboshi, chickenwings (tebasaki) and miso Tonkatsu etc. Food wise not to worry.

The only thing I found is that there nothing very interesting unless you like Toyota cars and trains.

Went for the car and train museums. To me, there nothing much. But found these very educational.

Also go for the unagi hitsumaboshi. There's different shops to try out. Each is slightly different. Though quite ex.

Got castle, amusement park, water park(probably closed), sakae shopping area. Probably not worth to travel northwards for 2 days but i guess its up to individual.

Food wise, the famous hitsumabushi is a must try and the tebasaki from sekai no yamachan. Delicious =:p

it depends on which type of Toyota museum.

If it is just museum located north east of Nagoya Station, 2-3 hrs sufficient.

If it is Toyota factory tour, you need to book in 3 mths advance and need half day to do it.
