Watched The Upside and The Legend of 1900 over the weekend.

The Legend of 1900 is pretty good.

For me, I'd recently re-watched Saving Private Ryan and I think it is just about the best movie I've seen in a long, long time! Awesome movie, props to Tom Hanks for making his character (Captain Miller) so believable....he was stoic, fragile, self-sacrificing, filled with doubts yet followed thru with determination.

The other characters, like Mellish, Sergeant Horvath, Private Jackson, etc, added so much to the movie. Who can forget the harrowing opening scenes at Omaha Beach, or the tear inducing end scene when Miller tells Pte Ryan 'to lead a good life'.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark - it may be the perfect movie. With a lead so ultimately likable, perhaps the best bad guys in film, and just enough mystery and history-lore to make it all come together.
