Izzit necessary to include the Han Yu Pin Yin name when booking the ticket i.e. Tan Li Mei (Chen Limei).

Booking via Scoot.

Booking via Scoot.

Input name as in passport. If the name is not in your passport, don't put it in when making flight bookings. If the name is in your passport, then input it for your flight reservations.

I am about worried on this naming convention, especially the use of "first name" and "last name" which lastname usually means surname.
Tan Ah Kow = Ah-Kow Tan.

Anyone encounter issue while traveling overseas? especially in Europe or Americas?

So both way work for me, I yet to encounter problem.
Usually I just put my surname under 1st name, unless the form indicate last name (surname).

Flew on budget airline before ...
first name and last name, put opposite ...
they never say anything ...

Once flew with scoot, staff says is ok ...
they changed for free for us on the phone ...

not much issue one

just fill in accordingly

as long as can match with passport, no issues
