If you don't need so many devices,
MikroTik 4 port, 10G SFP switch is one of the cheapest out there.
There's also 16 Port ver.

Instantaneous file transfer within the lan loh...
It is great especially when transferring big files. 5GB took around 10 seconds to complete transfer.

I have been considering a 10gbe network with NAS setup as well. However in order to fully benefit from such a setup I need to upgrade a few things. House already has Cat6a wiring so that should be sufficient for a wiring setup (May need to check speeds). Can use CAT8 cables for short runs.
1) Switch
SFP vs 10g BaseT (RJ45). Most cheap switches use only SFP. This will mean I need to purchase adapters to convert. Other option is to get switches with 10G BaseT RJ45 ports.
2) SSD upgrades for NAS
10gbe theoritical max speed is 1.25 GB/s (10000/8). Normal mechanical drives can do that kind of speeds. Even normal sata SSD cant do that speed as they are limited to 6gbps/750 MB/s (6000/8). This means I need to upgrade both my mechanical drives as well as have a NVME SSD option for cache. (Talking of theoretical speeds only. Real world is more like 800 MB/s (10gbe) and 500 MB/s (sata ssd)
For my QNAP i can use this card QNAP QM2.

This allows me to use 2 NVME drives also upgrading my NAS to accept 10gbe.
3) 10gbe PCI cards for desktop.
Will also need to upgrade my desktop with 10gbe network cards. Cheapest is the Asus XG-C100C card.
So for me to actually use 10gbe network I need to spend significant money for switch, expansion cars, sata SSD (storage), NVME ssd (cache).

I've seen on Youtube, can achieve between 400 to 600MB/s read/write speed

Hongkong prices is so much better. Editing off NAS direct does sound nice.
It's been 8 months and I've finished setting up my 10GBE network.
1. Synology DS1618+ with 3 x 7200 8TB HGST enterprise drives & 2 x Seagate 5400 4tb drives (leftover)
2. Synology E10G18-T1 10GBe card
3. Sonnet Tech Solo 10G T3 to 10Gbase-T
Initial setup before the 10GBe was all connected to switch to share resources and internet access. Now I add the 10GBE card to the DS1618+ and connect direct to iMac via SonnetTech Solo.
The gigabit connection to iMac and ds1618 is for internet access and QuickConnect. The SonnectTech and 10GBE card for high speed hook-up.
internet/network IPs are 192.168.1.xx - via DHCP
10GBE network IPs are 169.254.168.x for iMac/sonnet Tech and 169.254.168.x for 10GBe card for ds1618 - manual setting
Took a while to get it to work. I got about 300-400MB/s for writes and 1000MBs for reads.
But sometimes i feel the network is a bit sluggish.
Any help pointers appreciated.

You should not be using 169.254.x.x IP addressing. Are you accessing shared files by the IP address?
Yes. I keep all my work files in 3 separate volumes inside the DS1618+.
to access the synology DSM, i go to afp://192.168.x.x
to mount the 3 volumes to my iMac desktop so i can work on the files and move items, i go to afp://169.254.168.x - being the ip address of the synology via 10GBe.
I only access files with my iMac - my one and only work computer.
