NAS question

Hi all, i have a new question! lets say im running 2 HDD on a RAID 1 config, after 2 years i want to take out 1 HDD and store it for archiving purposes.

qn: am i able to do this on a RAID 5 config?

Hi all, i noticed for synology NAS theres a limit of 256 shared folders. what about the rest of the NAS out there? is there a limit? cos 256 seems very little.. is there one with no limits?

SHARED folders. Sub directories does not need to be shared for access. I don't think you will map to more than 25 shared folders.
