NAS question

I am using 4TB Seagate Ironwolf and i understand there is a special feature call 'ironwolf scanning' built in when i buy such hdd. i tried barcudda so this feature should be included exclusive to ironwolf drive.

forget to say my nas is Asustor 1004T

so currently i am running 4 x 4TB with Raid 5.

so i am thinking switching to 2 x 4TB RAID 1 and upgrade 2 drive to 2 x 8TB
so i saw ironwolf price is around $350....

but i saw Toshiba N300 is $50 less per drive

so if i buy toshiba drive will there be a similar technology to scan my drives?

I use to EXOS 7E8 and love it. Just need to make sure if your HDD is 4Kn or not. Cause both type cannot mix together in Synology (not sure about Asustor)
Before this is HGST Deskstar NAS which is noisy and failed within 3 years warranty.
