NAS with MAC address Filter

Need some advice and recommendation on NAS.

Planning to have a 4 bay NAS - 2 for usage 2 for raid.

Understand that each NAS manufacturer have their own software to support access to NAS. Normally with just user name and password to access it. I require higher security than just user name and password.

Is there any NAS that I can set MAC filter to access? meaning the NAS will check the MAC address of the device, only the limited MAC address are able to access the NAS.

If there is pls recommend which one. Or there is some ways like using firewall to block, pls advice as well.

MAC is not higher security. It is worse than credentials because it is public information and it can be spoofed easily.

If you really require network based authentication, please use IEEE 802.1X approach. This will allow network wide lock down to network access.
