I know a few LTAs & CPTs who were from PTP. So your point is? It's PTP,not BP. If you train hard,why not possible?
People who study ITE can't get degree?

There's a difference between being LTA/CPT from NDU PTP and Tekong PTP hor.

think is not CDF as CDF does not directly oversees such policies. too much power liao which not everyone deserves the title/appointment.

CDF main role is to ensure his three elements are operationally capable.

those arguments, feedback and comments mentioned here are usually "well-versed" by DXOs or ASAs. Even S1 will not be able to answer these questions directly or immediately.

TS can just guai guai go ptp and be a tekong dog already. Only way to go ndu is to excel as a dog and sign on ndu during bmt.

No idea why someone do that though, lol.

high chance you going NDU. This year most mono-intakes will be doing their PTP/BMT in tekong. Probably related to NS50 or something. i have 2 friends enlisting on 10aug 17 who went for the VA too.

How u know most mono-intakes doing PTP/BMT in tekong leh?

some of my ITE friends went to tekong but later was told they were part of mono-intakes on first day. its a recent thing. of course there are still a few mono-intakes held at the respectives camps itself.

There's such thing as "standard" batch i.e. those who aren't "leadership" batch that gets to go for SIT Test which allows them to go command school.

That being said, knowing friends who went to Tekong after NDU VA + knowing people who go to Tekong but aren't in "leadership" batch doesn't mean high chance go NDU.

It can just mean they don't qualify to go NDU hence they go Tekong.

However, mono-intakes BMT are held in Tekong as of this year 2017. (NS50 or something)

Regardless, usually you would know if you are the mono-intake batch on enlistment day in tekong. (from multiple friends who did their BMT in tekong but mono-intake to infantry/amour. not sure if they did their SIT test though)

So don't feel depressed if you (OP) don't make it to NDU. Aim for OCS instead.

Not sure if special forces like NDU or CDO is involved in this scheme though.

i just checked the enlistment date.

On 10 August, there is a "BMT (PTP) / BMT (Direct Intake)".



"BMT (Direct Intake)" is for mono-intake BMT or PTP?

Im enlisting into ndu next year 24feb. From what i've gathered from friends, enlistment lasts from 24-28feb i think. Im not sure about this year, how many intakes does ndu have a year? Also, will the enlistment letter state if u r enhanced batch or normal?

Curious why you need to know how many intakes a year?

Yeah i passed but its ippt now

Just wondering how small the enlistment day is and if its just as few people as the VA. Tekong has like thousands of people, if ndu only takes a few hundred and then spread out over so many days some more then dont have the atmosphere also right

And also see if got people want train with me lah. my friends all enlisting in 1st week of jan,running swimming alone actually quite sian but i dont want to go in so cui n burden everyone

Have you received your enlistment notice? If you have you would know whether it will state whether is it enhanced or PTP right... Anyway since you passed your IPPT, you should be in enhanced lor. So don't need go PTP.
