MSI B85M G43 + i5-4460 will do.

From what i read online, the B-series mobo is more of a business option mobo, pardon me if i am wrong,

Dun matter if its business, personal or server grade. Its more than enough for one's basic needs. The features added in are also good enough. And lastly, it is cheap.

Dont just see that it is for business only. See it as entry level, beginner level, intermediate level, semi pro level, pro level, extreme level.

Each mobo chipset offers different needs.

But the h81 will meet most citeria if it is just for gaming needs and not going for multiple gpus. B85 on the other hands offers slightly more stuffs than the h81. And so does h97 and z97 x99 boards offering features increases.

Most of the gamers will fall into h81 or b85 categories. Unless you are going for high res gaming then you will need the z97 or x99 boards to cater more pcie lanes for 2 or more gpus.

hijack abit since my thread too old and nobody reply when i asked a new question

izzit recommended for me to get a 4460 or 4690 if i wan to run some algorithms repeatedly which can take hours? would the higher clock speed in 4690 allow me to complete the task quicker?

Also, if i get i5-4690 and msi gtx970 twin frozr, is the FSP Aurum S gold 500W good enough?

The clock speed for a period of time will be advisable to get the 4690.

Computation of mathematical model/algo- yes a higher frequency chip can definitely out results faster, but 'how fast' is also dependent on the type software you are using and the computational complexity. Go for a better chip you can afford within your budget.
