Need a small footprint PC for design work

Have been seeking hi and low for one for the past few mths

came across this

Let's say i take this with

1) 1 x 16GB DDR4 ram @ 112

2) 1 x 512GB Samsung 950 Pro Nvme SSD @ 519

Total = 959 + 112 + 519 = 1,590

Anyone can recommend something small with better gfx ?

Budget around $1700

No need monitor, speakers, OS, KB, Mouse.

i dun think u can install a GFX though, cos the thing is that its build to be a mini pc. and beside that it comes with intel own gpu onboard as well.

well if u need gpu can consider gigbabyte nuc (u will need to google as i on mobile.)

Can take a look at Shuttle SZ170R8

bro, for this Shuttle SZ170R8...

does it comes with motherboard ? or it's just the casing + powersupply only ?

the HQ is laptop cpu .....

the problem with laptop cpu is they throttle when you do max load for extended period ... like gaming .... the fluctuating clockspeed cause stutter in intense game
so it created a need to bypass the conservative TDP limit .... a 3rd party freeware called Throttlestop .... specifically for tablets and laptop on intel cpu

Skull cayon is virtually a laptop that size of a set up box, just without a screen. Beside ram n hard disk/ssd, u can't change or upgrade anything.

The shuttle is a bigger small form factor pc with expansion slots, where u can install a graphic card if u like.

If you like shuttle's small footprint.. i think you may like silverstone sugo series, such as sugo sg05 itx casing.. it has smaller footprint than the shuttle..
and the best part.. you can customised and DIY whatever parts you fancy..

True that but if going for custom build lots of other cases to choose from like coolermaster elite130 or fractal design core 500 etc which is not limited to the PSU used.

understand that.. but they have bigger footprint.. contarary to what TS want..

of course, if TS dont mind slightly bigger footprint.. there will be alot of choices.. such as you mentioned.

Jus 2 monitor. My desk already got 1 x wd thunderbolt drive, 1 x 2 hdd bay, 1 x keyboard, 1 x wacom tablet, 1 x laptop. So i dun think i can put a tower cpu beside my monitor mah.. That is why I need a small pc

if let's say i get the skull canyon. i will just mount it behind one of my monitors.

i assume your desk is large cause can accomodate 2 monitor..
Get atx case and put under the table. Possible?
