Need help before i hoot again
This time helping my brother to setup a gaming computer

(Budget 2k) For High end gaming , editing photos, 3D Maya

MB/Processor: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming (i7 4770) - $633
GPU: MSI 660ti ($483) or MSI 670 ($599): Cant decide which
RAM: Corsair Veng 1600 (4gb x 2) - $95
Display: Dell U2312HM - $255
HD: 1tb blue (WD) - $85
SSD: Crucial M500 120gb - $180
Casing: Fractal Design R4 Black - $149
PSU: FSP 550w - $139
WIndows 8 Home 64bit - $163

Total: $2298 (670) / $2182 (660ti)
Overshot by 300bucks =( any better bang of bucks with the same items?

As usual price from PC themes

Any advice or input will be appreciated!

Maybe you can try this set up. I don't see a benefit for getting Haswell at the moment so yeah and windows 8 is optimized for touch screen monitors. With you budget don't think you can get one

well I had some problem with my existing steam games after upgrading. But after re installing and/or troubleshooting then so far all manage to work

Best Buy, but u can ask whatever shop u are buying from to match it.

Haswell, not point to overclock. The head generated is crazy even at default clock speed. Stock Cooler can hit 80 degree at load!!!

Not sure if it is even good for long-term usage at all.

"Z" series chipset is for overclocking but you need a CPU ending with a "K" so that is can be overclocked.

"H" series chipset is for home user.

"B" series chipset is for business user, who need a cheap and functional motherboard for office use.

Of course since there is hardly any difference between "H" & "B" series MB it all comes down to the price. Only "Z" series will stand out due to it's overclocking ability.
