Need advice for building a computer

I took a trip to SLS today with the following list:

Was advised by the nice gentlemen at gs shop (#02-32) to swap out the CPU and MB for 4590 + H97 Killer. I was also told that R9-280X seems to have a lot trouble with heat issues, and that GTX 770 would be a better alternative.

ASRock B85 killer and FSP Aurum S 500W are out of stock at tradepac and PCthemes as well.

Looking to find better alternatives CPU + MB, GPU and PSU. Buget $1500~1700. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the help so far.

Bro which shops in SLS are selling the Asrock H97 Killer mobo and what is the price ??

I don't see this mobo in any of the pricelists downloaded from HWZ leh...

I wasn't aware of that hmm... the nice guy at #02-32 recommended me that but i guess whether it's available is another thing.

trustworthy and reliable? sorry i'm a bit skeptical, just want to be cautious.

You should worry about whether he has time for you or not. Mine built by him 3 years ago. Running with zero problem till now. Perfect cable management too...
