Need Advice for Career Switch

Hi everyone who can give me advice.
I've been working after my O Level and as I'm almost reaching 30 been thinking of a career switch.

My main and foremost interest has always been in IT related field mainly as a Network Administrator.

But as times were bad (financial), I did not pursue my interest.
I've worked various jobs including as a concierge.

My last job was in a hospital as an admin.
Had to resigned due to conflict of interest with my supervisor.

Now I'm currently holding a part time job as a security officer.

My main problem is that I don't have work experience in IT related field and a diploma.

Is there any other workaround for me to be able to make a career switch and obtain all the relevant experiences and any courses that I could take?

Your suggestion and advice is highly anticipated and appreciated.

If u r still passionate in Network Administrator job. Maybe can take up a past time course by local polytech. For eg, the current Cyber Security Specialist Diploma course offering by Singapore Poly r quite a good course IMHO.

If you have some IT knowledge, you could consider taking MCSA Microsoft server courses with SSG funding to help.

Specialist Diploma in Cyber Sec Minimum Entry Requirements

Applicants should have a Polytechnic Diploma/Degree in Information Technology. Polytechnic diploma or degree holders from other disciplines must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.

You can go network route 1st then switch to security .

Go NTUC take CCNA course conduct by Mr.Soh (He is harsh but you will appreciate him in future).After polish by him then u take CCNA exam . (Is not a secret to pass ccna exam ,you can google it .) After get CCNA faster get 1 network job ,dont care about the paid 1st,gain experience is your first priority .Take a part time diploma course at night then continue your CCNP.
But i will like to tell you that network cert is depreciating cause of those question bank and lab selling online .You need compete with foreigner with 2-3 CCIE certification .so better get a degree and move on to security sector which foreigner lesser compare to network sector. Hope my advice can help you

Go upgrade yourself first. Since you have related work experience, I believe you can try to apply for part time diploma in a polytechnic.

Because a lot of people starting say they have interest in this field, but after they realize that a lot of jobs related to this have to either standby after office hours, standby 24/7, work shifts or work 24/7, their interest then starts to die off after that.
