Need advice for my dead NAS

Please give me some advice.

I have a Dlink-323 NAS with 2 500GB 3.5-inch hard disks. It has been working well for at least 5 years.

Recently, it fails to power on. I believe is the power adapter problem.

Instead of changing the power adapter, I am also looking to upgrade my NAS and hopefully with cloud function, since the next IT show is coming.

I would like to know, since the existing NAS cannot power on anymore;

1. If I were to buy a new NAS comes with hard disk, how can i transfer the data from the existing 2 x 500GB hard disks? It is currently configured as Raid 1 - Mirroring.

2. If I want to keep my existing 2 x 500 GB hard disks, is there any NAS can allow me to just plug in by existing hard disk and work straight away with minimum configuration?

2. Any advice on NAS that comes with cloud function and can be configure like oneDrive, Mega, etc? For home use, I won't need anything more than 2 TB

Use the power adapter of the new NAS to power the old NAS

But I found that the power adapter for new type of NAS does not match the adapter of Dlink-323

mirroring means your enclosure shouldnt do anything special to your data. can try plug in any one of the disk to PC.
If google never bluff me, the file system is ext2. You can use any linux liveCD to mount the drive. or any other method to mount ext2 under your OS.

Most home Nas uses linux soft raid. U need to connect all HDDs to a PC installed with Linux ( or use livecd). After that can use mdadm to try to mount. Once mounted, u can easily transfer them out to another PC via network

Buy a new NAS, and new bigger HDDs.

Plug in your existing HDD to the new NAS or to your PC and backup your new NAS.

Borrow a HDD docking station with two bay and get the software below . I manage to recover my 4 disks nas with this ( eh... of course I borrowed an orico 4 HDDs docking station from my friends) .
