maybe can consider 9070xt builds for much cheaper, since it can match the 5080 in doom and can offer much better performance per dollar in cp2077 and marvel rivals.

the cheaper build is actually better, primarily due to paying the asus tax on the mobo, gpu and psu. id go with the s15 with its better cpu, see if u want to upgrade the base 5080 ventus to higher end models.

but he wants to play wukong too tho

7800X3D+9070XT nets u 20+/-fps on cinematic settings with full raytracing on 1440P res
turning on the old FSR framegen looks like a blurry mess and ghosting is pretty bad
nvidia dlss is the only option for blackmyth wukong

Would you recommend me to change S15 Mobo and psu? As I am considering to change the PSU to 1000w.
For GPU wise maybe I will upgrade to MSI GEFORCE RTX5080 16GB VANGUARD SOC.
Thank you for the advice.
The only thing that made me hesitant to switch to AMD cards is becos I think alot of games dont support FSR and especially older game that dont work well with AMD card.
Maybe I am wrong on this.

if u have the budget and aiming for 5080, then go ahead get that, amd has nothing in competition with the 5080

if ur planning to get the most out of ur $$
9070XT > 5070TI because in sg, the pricings for the 9070XT is better than the 5070TI whereas in USA and europe its not the case~

Second built is better imo. 9800X3D is the better cpu and not sure why S15 cheaper than S30? Would suggest upgrade motherboard to Asus B850M Tuf gaming plus for additional 152. Better vrms and triple nvme slots.

also change ram to 2tb Samsung ssd 990 pro, had Dram cache, and supposedly best gen 4 ssd

Ur not wrong on this, many new games coming out also doesn't support FSR4. I think go ahead on the 5080.

Is there a big performance difference between PCIE 5 and PCIE 4 slot of the MB?
Also anyone know if the MSI PSU&MB are good?

As long as you have a good quality b650 board, you should be fine. It has been proven that the good boards can run PCIE5.0, just not labelled as such by motherboard vendors. PSU i have no idea, will have to refer to psu cultist to check. MB are great, mortar mag etc are good boards

the mobo and psu are what i would call the bare minimum, not great but not terrible either. personally i dont see much benefit upgrading the mobo, unless there are specific features u are looking for (eg. usb4, more nvme slots). psu wise the capacity should be enough, no need to go 1000w but if u have the budget to get a high quality one then by all means. invaderpc has stopped allowing for easy psu upgrades on their website though so i think u will need to contact them directly for a quote.

no.

PCIe 5.0 is to support the latest RTX 50xx cards. Most B650 only support PCIe 4.0 which I feel the GPU will not be fully utilized. Only 850 boards above can support PCIe 5.0

pcie4 is still more than sufficient even for the 5090, in fact u might be hard pressed to find differences even on pcie3 at higher gpu loads (which is what the 5090 is for).

some b650/e boards also support pcie5 on the primary x16 slot, so there is very little benefit going b850 if u dont use thunderbolt/usb4.

Top up $152 for Asus tuf b850M motherboard, since 5080 Liao might wanna chiong 9800X3D instead of 7800X3D

SSD swap to 2tb Samsung 990 pro

How come Asus tuf b850M motherboard dont have bluetooth one ?
Not that it matters anyway.
Cause Asus likes to use their brand name and save $$$ on features. Then ppl who only rely on brand name gets scammed. Kind of like how their 5070ti Prime and TUF doesn't use any vapour chamber for cooling, while cheaper 5070tis generally have vapour chambers
