Need advice on 2nd hand CPU

Hi all, need some Guru advise on the following CPU set-up.
Has been using laptop for a while and totally lost touch with all the computer parts.
Currently I have an overseas client leaving Singapore and selling his CPU (with existing parts warranty) for the following parts below for $700.

Can anyone advise it is worth buying it or to assemble a brand new CPU with a budget of max $1K? Wanted a PC for gamings and work. Thanks in advance!

A lousy psu which may break anytime, used-to-be high end CPU and mobo, all not worth it...

if you got 1k, can build frm scratch, wif parts much better than that list...

Nope $700 will get you something equally powerful but sips energy, unless he's throwing in his copy of Windows (assuming it is legitimate) as well.

From the price quoted above, does it includes the casing as well? anything that i should add like cooling system or not listed in the list above?
Just wanted to have a better estimate and consideration that whether should I stretch my budget if needed to....

Sorry what do you mean sips energy? assuming its an original copy of Windows, is the specs good enough? afterall its a 1.5 year old CPU. Thanks!

No need till 3470 if you feel is over your budget. A i5 3350P will do the same job. Lesser power consumed and same speed. The only thing is no onboard graphics. But since you get the standalone GPU it doesnt really matters.

Seems like the parts recommended is almost the same as the other member. In your opinion, should I sketch my budget for better graphics, speed or other aspects? doesn't want to upgrade my CPU very often. Thanks.

For the games u play gtx760 or 7850 can max out easily..

Among this 5 chassis. The best cooling options for matx is the 350D. It has a 2 120mm top mounting fan for exhaust.

Nzxt phantom 410 is the worse plastic made chassis ever. Almost no wire management. So the h230 would be a better option.

The best valued one will be sharkoon t28. Comes with 3 120mm led fans.

FD arc midi is more of a premium metal brush paint finishing.
