Need advice on CPU tuning.

Set LLC TO 4 under Digi VRM.
Set IA_AC to 0.2 under CPU Internal Power Mgt.
Set IA_DC to 1.04 under CPU Internal Power Mgt.

*** MAKE SURE YOU SET BOTH AC AND DC VALUES CORRECTLY I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE ***

Make sure you set LLC to 4 first before adjusting the other 2. The other 2 values are only for LLC4 so DO NOT USE FOR ANY OTHER LLC OTHER THAN LLC4 INCLUDING LEAVING IT ON AUTO.

Let me know if you can pass Cinebench and temps should be quite a bit lower.

Restore bios defaults and just use these 3 settings. You can adjust other stuff like your fan and what not. Ai OC still dumps too much voltage to your CPU so I would not even use that. Try it out and see your temps with this method of undervolt. Runs considerably cooler.

Based on what i've read the thermaltake one should be relatively straight forward. Thermal Grizzly one seems more finicky.

You don't need a contact frame for Z790. I found it a hit or miss from my experience. Z690, definitely needed. Z790 has improved.

So I went ahead and reseated my cooler with fresh MX6 paste and thermalright’s contact frame. Average idle temps seems to have dropped a little under 10C. However when running cinebench it still shoots to 100C within 5 seconds.

I tried running Warframe on the default Ultra settings and temps hovered around high 60s to mid 70s.

I ran Witcher 3 on Ultra instead of Ultra+ and my cpu stayed in the 90s range all the way even when I tuned down to high settings.

Running on CPU Lite load 3 with CPU LLC on level 5. From the overlay below can see that the amount of power it’s drawing is relatively conservative and cpu utilization has plenty of room left. How to pinpoint the issue? I would have thought that if idle temps were reduced a little I could rule out the AIO not working properly but now I don’t know alrdy.

It was originally connected to CPU_FAN1 i changed it to PUMP_FAN1. Both gave me the same results

The aio pump speed seems inconsistent and slower, think good to set the pump speed at full speed. Also check your system fan curve at many fans seem running at zero rpm

All my fans including the radiator fans are hooked up to LianLi's L-Connect. They ramp up to 2000rpm when the cpu gets to around 80C or higher. Similarly for the Pump when temps are in their 60s it runs at around 16xxrpm and ramps up to about 2000 when temps go to 80 and above.

Think i need to go and take another hwinfo reading when i get home as i haven't done one after i remounted the aio.

in this case perhaps you could share the reading of L-Connect stat together with HWiNFO, this could help to provide better system health check and diagnostic for the experience member to assist you better.

HWiNFO results as per below. One while doing Cinebench, One while playing Witcher 3.
Somehow my pump rpm isn't showing up in both HWinfo and Bios. My radiator fans are connected to the Lian Li controller but my pump 4 pin header is connected to either CPU_FAN1 or PUMP_FAN 1, Should it be showing up as 0rpm? The Mini fan on the AFII pump is spinning for sure.
