Need advice on PC build

Hi, will need some advice on below build.


Activity is to surf net, watch video and play games.
Able to support 2 to 3 monitors display.
Not a hardcore gamer but will like to have it able to support the medium specs in games like Black Myth Wukong (not top priority)
Wanted to build it for future proof, maybe another 4 or 5 years still not considered an outdated system.

Budget initially looking at 2k, but the specs I put together is like 2.5k so am wondering if is overkill and can be reduced. Very long out of touch in building so not aware of market rates liao. Will increase budget to 2.5k if is norm. I did a rough comparison on sls price list for the entire build and is almost the same cost, I might be wrong but it seems like it.

Honestly for 2k, can buy 7700 + 5070ti already (2 grades better than 5060ti). 5060ti build is usually $1.25k ish only, even with the ssd upgrade is 1.4k (your build is only worth around 1.5k ish they dare to quote you 2.5k?? Better avoid)

gaming wise ryzen cpu is better.
then top up around $160 for them to change the default ssd to Samsung 990 pro 2tb single piece.
total around $2110 can get way better specs.

2.55k can buy 7700 + 5080 build + 2tb ssd from either aftershock or invaderPC already. Suggest this build as 5080 is a very strong gpu (3rd best and it’s way better than stupid 5060ti which is thrash).

5090, 4090, then 5080. After that is 5070ti/4080 super, 5070, 4070 super. Just go do some research on Nvidia gpu ranking

mansa is chop carrot head one, should be quite easy to beat with diy. a 5060ti 16gb build should be around half of what this costs, even with bling bling ram and ssd upgrades maybe ur looking at about 1.5k-1.6 for this tier of build.

as gotbetrayed mentioned, ryzen is much better for gaming and much cheaper too. u should be able to get a decent 7500f/7600 + b650 for about half this price of this combo.

u can maybe consider a lower tier ssd for ur secondary drive to save some cost, not like ur going to notice much of a difference.

u can do better when ur spending this much on a pc. thermalright psus are at best mediocre at this point in time, good psus (eg from seasonic, corsair etc) can be had for less than $100 more.

Dude, no need upgrade motherboard to B850M, invader 1.95k build is sufficient. Just message them change ssd. You upgrade power supply and case of course need pay more.

See Master M51 from Invader, $1935 sgd. Even if add your SSD to Samsung 2TB is 160, total 2095. Then another SSD can buy fron Shopee or Lazada. Any reason for 2x 1TB SSD? Why not just 1 single and add on another later on.

In my opinion the default build is really quite good le just need swap out SSD, no need change power supply and case, save money. Total should set you back around $2.1k.

Don‘t drop 5070TI, it’s the best price performance card this gen. 5070 is way weaker than 5070TI, 5070TI is only 10-15% behind 5080.

3-4 years later just buy another 2k ish pc will be like today’s 4k pc.

Would be good to get 7800X3D build also, since you use it to game, should be around $200 sgd more ex than 7700, so overall cost still within budget. if really can stretch to 2.5k can get 9800X3D + 5070Ti build, this is quite good because we are looking at best gaming CPU, top up a bit change to 850 Watt PSU so next time 3 years later just buy GPU swap out can le, for 6080/6070ti.

7800X3D and 9800X3D also got their integrated GPU, can support 1 display Instead of using GPU to support 3 displays.

Master M53 $2268: 7800X3D + 5070Ti —> This might be good for you within your max budget of $2.5k
Master M54: $2645: 9800X3D + 5070Ti + 2tb ssd + B850M Asus TUF motherboard. Is quite ok for the pricing, latest motherboard, CPU and GPU. If you wanna swap to 2x 1Tb Samsung ssd should be top up $100 or so. Total around $2745, pretty future proof build.

yup that is what i intend to do. so split to 2 ssd

Now GPU comes with 4 or 5 connectors ports to connect multiple monitors.
Custom built and prebuilt always have a price difference as the parts u want is different from the prebuilt ones.
And always come with a higher price. So just go whatever u feel fine with it.
If u are running base frequency on the cpu, the air cooler will be just fine.
