Need advice on upgrading gfx card.

MOBO: Intel i7 2600 msi p67a c45


Leadtek gtx 560 ti 1gb OC (old gfx card that needs to be replaced)


Power source: Seasonic M12-520w


I 101% newbie that needs advice on which gfx card is recommended to replace my old one. thats the only thing i want to replace though. Maybe I can have a recommendation regarding a low budget one (<$200) or something got super promo now... My usage on my PC only DOTA 2, watch HD movies, light office work. Please advice all pros!

My 550Ti 1GB runs steady 1080p 60fps for dota 2.

Always popup gfx error when i play dota2, never occur any other times.
My bro and I have the exact same rig, im just speculating that my card overheated and cui already..

Try putting it in another PCI-e x16 slot...

Uninstall and reinstall nvidia drivers.

Before u buy a new GPU, try this first on ur current one:

install MSI Afterburner (very small software wont take up much resources)

Run it, then play game. It tracks ur GPU usage and temperature, so U can see if ur GPU is constantly at max load. If its not always at 100% load (spikes of 100% is OK, as long as it doesnt stay at 100% all the time), that means ur GPU can handle the game u r playing.

Sometimes its not because GPU CMI, it might be the simple reason that its getting too hot. In that case, just increase the fan speed (also adjustable in MSI Afterburner) and the temp can be kept down.

Roger shadow84, i switched the pci slots haha i open the cpu up only see 2 slots and reinstalled the driver. See how it goes!
