Hi guys, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to upgrading my rig. I'm playing blade and soul and I'm pretty unsatisfied with how my 5 year old rig is performing.

Should I be upgrading the processor or graphics card? I've read about the new generation 1060/1070/1080 but I'm just unsure what to upgrade and if they are compatible. Would greatly appreciate any help from you guys!

Recommended settings for blade and soul:
Intel Quad Core / AMD Phenom II X4
4GB or above
nVidia Geforce 8800GT / AMD Radeon HD4850
22GB or above

My current Rig:
Intel i5 3570K 3.4GHz 6mb
Asus Maximus V Gene LGA1155
G.SKILL RIPJAWS-X CL9 8GB KIT 12800/1600 (2X4GB) DDR3
OCZ VERTEX 4 128GB 2.5" SSD
SAPPHIRE HD7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E 384BIT (OVERCLOCK)
SEASONIC X-SERIES 660W MODULAR GOLD PSU

You only need a GPU upgrade. As to which GPU, depends on your monitor and whether you intend to play current games.

I think my monitor only allows maximum 60fps. Which I too, intend to upgrade my monitor to achieve higher fps. But I frequently suffer drops to around 20+fps when there are many characters around me. I only expect my game to run smoothly at 1080p with minimal fps drop and graphical lag.

Any brands or model for both monitor n graphics card to recommend? I dun have a budget for them but of cos I'm not willing to spend on the highest end if its gonna be an overkill.

Thanks for the help!

well tbh bns is a mmo game that is pretty much like others. they relies on cpu single thread, but have u tried to OC your cpu to see if there is any improvement?
