hi. i tried your method alr. it will just hang at the installation part. with the newest or a version older. the only way not to hang is use windows update. but when restart it will hang at login page. so makes no diff.

so somehow its your amd driver installation that is causing the issue.
maybe as what some bros here mention, sell ur rx470 and get a nvidia card instead.

its using 7850. but other users and myself had the same card with no issue. how sure if i change to nvidia and the problem will disappear?

u mention that you tried with a RX470 and it hangs also?
so most likely you having issue when installing the AMD driver, thus suggesting you to switch over to nvidia instead.
Install/Update AMD Catalyst Driver | Windows 10 (Black Screen Fix)
not sure if this will work for u.
best case scenario is to borrow a nvidia card and test before purchasing one.

using a E8400 cpu with hd 4890 on a win10 os with no issues at all

so probably it might be OS issues?

i did tried using rx480. it hanged too. but when i used 4770, problem disappear. i did see that thread. but tried also no luck. looks like i gotta borrow the nvidia to try before buying.
i will give that video a try one more time. hope it works..

os is installed fresh. with different copies. tried the one given by my friend, failed. use mine also failed. redo the creation of win 10 also no luck.

tried upgrade from win 7 also no luck..

did u try disable hw not in use like thunderbolt, wireless etc in the bios just to test?

nope did not try but will give it a shot. thunderbolt isnt using but wireless is using. but shouldnt that affect in win 7 as well? in win 7 its working fine.

yea. i have disabled the thunderbolt and still same result.

tried again this method. but does not seem to help..
