hi guys, need some advice or help please

Am thinking of buying a work out bench from either gymsportz, jmall or homegym. and i am not quite well to do so i dont have much choices.

and is gymsportz.sg good/reliable? which website has better products?

my considerations:

homegym.sg/adjustable-bench.html

gymsportz.sg/equipments/workout-benches/weight-bench

jmall.sg/work-out-bench/313-folding-utility-bench.html#/gym_bench-without_assembled

any advices?
thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't recommend foldable benches.. Most of them are too filmsy, at least for the ones I've owned or tried..

If space isn't a constraint, get a non-foldable FID bench..

200Kg is probably the bare minimal weight rating.. But usually from my personal experience, benches with only a 200kg weight rating are not that stable..

Don't get the gymsportz one with the fly attachment and barbell stand, those stands are awkwardly positioned and I've owned one dat is 90% similar to this... It rocked like a boat when I bench.. And I was only trying 30kg.. Sold it as quickly as I got it..

I would recommend you to get this instead.. Premium Weight Bench - HomeGym.sg (Singapore)

It's a slight top up, but you get better quality, higher weight rating and more stability..

Imho, don't scrimp on your bench.. It's a long term investment.. Unless you're gonna be training casually for your whole life..

As your PRs move up, you would regret not having purchased a better bench..

If you're adamant on only selecting from these 3 though, I would go for the first one.. It's probably the most well built among the 3..

Get bench that can load up to at least 300kg. So that you will not worry about 120kg+ bench press. I know my bench is safe while I am doing 142.5kg bench press.

Lol gala..

Anyway, on the gymsportz bench, the fly attachment is practically useless cuz it's kindda in an awkward position..

I've tried the Premium Weight Bench, which is a newer model, and it feels really solid and well built.. I think it's even better den my Bodycraft F602 bench at a fraction of the price..

If you're not well to do, then save up longer for a decent bench or just visit a clubfit gym. I don't think there is any hurry in getting a bench.

Everyone have a different perspective of a good bench , you may think a bench is good as long it don't move when u work out on it, some may take the stated load as a benchmark , some will talk about the width of the padding and what kind of steel tubing it is constructed from and more. It's pretty subjective at the end of the day.

At the end of the day don't blame people when the bench crash on you when doing exercise on it just because someone point that out for you, go check out yourself and decide yourself .
