Need Advice : Secondary Drive got Problem

Hi Everyone,

I need advice on this - currently I have a 2 yr old computer.

I notice that my system has highlight the problem of my secondary disc (Drive D) which need to be check.

Can I get a new internal disc (Drive E) and install it so that I can copy and paste the Drive D file into Drive E before I take out the disc for repair?

Will it have any effect on my current CPU?

Need advice as I don't intend to bring my whole CPU for repair for fear of taking more than a day to repair as I got work to rush.

It seem that my Drive C are working fine. any advice on this?

u can get a internal drive or external drive which would more easy for u to backup the data but slower bit as internal would be faster so the choice is urs..and what u ar replacing would not effect the system as is the d drive..not the system drive unless u got programs on the d drive

Hi,

So suggestion is that I don't really need to bring my CPU, just purchase the either external or internal drive will do since it's affect my Drive D - am I right to say that?

I think i will be getting a internal drive as my window couldn't update at all when my drive D is having a issue on it.

TS, make sure your D: is not another partition on the same drive as C:. View this under disk management for detail.
