Hi all

Planning to build a new pc with a budget of $1.5k. Planning to get within this week. Hopefully will be cheaper as there is comex show.

Do not need speakers, monitor, OS, keyboard and mouse, storage hdd.

Need to play dota, starcraft and diablo at max setting and hopefully able to do so too for upcoming dragon age game.

Need to play bluray as well.

Cooling and silent system is preferred.

Thanks guys!

CPU+ Mobo: MSI B85-G41 PC MATE+ i7 4790 (514)
RAM: 2X CRUCIAL PC 12800/1600MHZ DDR3 VALUE RAM (8GB) (202)
GPU: POWER COLOR R9 280 3GB TURBODUO (339)
SSD: SAMSUNG EVO 250GB SSD (189)
Blu-Ray: LITEON BLU-RAY INTERNAL OEM (89)
PSU: SUPERFLOWER HX 600M GOLD MODULAR (109)
Case: DEEP COOL TESSERACT (65)

Total cost: $1507

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, go to PC Care & Solution at #02-32 and ask Nigel to help you assemble for a fee.

Notes:

1) Noise is subjective among different people and completely silent operation is not guaranted with this build.

2)As Dragon Age: Inquisition is not out yet, system requirements for this game are not out. Hence, this build may be unable to play this game smoothly at max settings.

3) The latest version of Photoshop supports OpenCL and OpenGL acceleration. Get the latest version of photoshop so that you can make use of the GPU to help boost your rendering speed.

Hmm. Why go for i7? Photoshop difference in it is neglectable either. i5 is more cost saving and upgrade the GPU to 280x.

Isn't Photoshop a multithreaded application? If it is, the hyperthreading function on Intel's i7 will help improve performance.
