Hi guys,

I have a PC that I was using when suddenly the next day when i try booting up, it says no display. However the PC fans and lights were all on. I then proceed to replug the VGA cable and it still did not work, then i tried plugging to my mobo's IGP and now it works fine.

So what I would like to ask is for such a scenario, can i confirm that my GPU is dying/dead? Or could there be other components that are damaged?

PC Specs are >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So far most of the hardware are rather old, approx 5 yrs.
Except for the RAM, CPU+mobo which is 1 yr.

Thanks for your help. :s12::s12:

If u had removed the GT310 and used the igpu and it works, then its gpu problem le...

U can consider changing it, maybe get the leadtek 750ti which is around $200.

Also, do consider changing ur psu since its 5 yrs old le. Can consider Seasonic S12II non-modular 520w at $85, Seasonic M12II semi-modular 520w at $95, Thermaltake Smart SE 530W 87% modular at $75, FSP 450w HEXA (PCT nvr list pricing, but it should be below $100).

Can consider getting another g.skill 1600mhz 4gb x1 stick at $53. Or the 1333mhz if u can find it.

That does seem to be the problem, I tried plugging into iGPU and it works, then I tried reseating and replugging the discrete GPU and then the onboard failed, after some fiddling, the discrete GPU signal dies after tthe windows load page.

Guess it's time for an upgrade. :)

I'm thinking of getting palit 750ti stormx oc bundle at mynextcom, not too sure if there's a mistake but the GPU at bundle price is a tad under $200.
