Hi, as stated in the title, I have an iPhone 4 32GB that I bought in the UK from an Apple store (not telco) so was unlocked right from the start.

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 5S and planned to trade in the phone, but then StarHub refused to accept it as one end of charging cable was a bit frayed. So I headed to a neighbourhood hand phone shop, which offered me $100 for it, saying that it cannot be reset or be used with a Singapore SIM card.

I've been using a StarHub SIM with my phone for the last 10 months or so and apparently it works!

Could one of you kind souls help me out here? I understand that as an 'import' set it will be treated differently from local sets, but I'm not sure if there's any truth in what those people were saying.

Thanks in advance!!
