need advices on graphics card~

Hi, I need some advices~ my GTX780 died and I plan on getting a new graphics card. However, my system is pretty old and I am unsure of what it can handle.

current system:
Processor: Intel I5-4570 (haswell?)
Motherboard: MSI B85-G43 Gaming
16GB RAM
650W power supply
2x 1440p 60hz 27" monitors (1 DVI input only, 1 has Multi input but was on DP)



Would really rather not upgrade MB+Processor XD
I did some researches on the web and some says 1070 would be fine with a i5-4570 but some says the i5 would bottle neck it.
as i am using 1440p monitors i would expect that it would be fine?

i really wanted to get a 1080 but, doubt theres any point with my old system.
so, main question would be, 1070 or 1060?

also, atm i am connecting with single monitor on hdmi as dvi only gave me 1080p and theres no DP port on the motherboard. however I have been getting screen blackouts (like really slow flickers) when viewing certain sites(best example would be LinusTechTips forums on the black theme. its fine on the white theme).
is that a sign of either the MB or the I5 going out? or is it just old age >,<
btw the computer is working totally fine during blackouts. can continue typing, sound continues to play, mouse can move and click on things. infact on some sites i had to back out of the site to get back my display

Gtx 1070. Bottleneck or not, see your game. Your setup can run gtx 1080 if you want, provided the games is very graphically intensive.

After change gpu, see if the flickering still happening.

but prolly getting 1070 >.> money matters

might as well get the better card in the 10 series to futureproof your system. or you could wait for amd vega till july. or nvidia volta till 2018

GTX1070 is fine for your system. I'm using GTX1070 with the same i5 4570 processor as you now. No worries on bottlenecking so far.

TS Graphics Card already died.

Might as well say wait till 2025 get a GTX"9070" that can crush all the top end cards today lol.

regarding your current blackout problem, see if it's the intel hd graphic driver issue. download the latest driver from intel website.

why do u need a graphic card when your eyeballs already rendering the most realistic graphic for u already. every thing is real why u want a simulation?

i had a flickering issue previously on my older desktop. turns out it was my power supply that was going to up lorry.

changed the power supply and all is good again.

anyways Imma prolly get a 1070.
the intel VGA drivers are up to date so i doubt its that issue.
not too concerned about future-proofing.

it might be the hdmi port on the monitor or the motherboard. need to test it out when i get my new graphics card

Hm.. test out using lower resolution like 1270x720 resolution. See if the flickering there.. if no. Then it's the hdmi cable issue.

I've actually tested with another HDMI cable (from my switch which was brand new so~) and had the same problem.
Did not have that problem with the Dual-Link DVI cable on 1080p.

not sure about the HDMI on 1080p, I mean i switched to the hdmi cable since I disliked 1080p on the 27" monitor so I never thought to try if 1080p removes the problem.

not really gonna test it right now as I just got my new 1070 and in my excitement i switched the hdmi to my dp cable for my main monitor and plugged in my 2nd monitor via dvi (single input monitor kinda sucks haha) immediately.

might test it out when i have the time and curiosity but since my PC is working perfectly atm i cant really be bothered XD
