Hi all,

I just bought a new motherboard from Tradepac today evening and when i reached home, I opened up the box and found out that there's a bent pins.

Was wondering can i go back to tradepac tomorrow to change the motherboard? Will they honor the lemon law as i read somewhere that a bros here who bought a DOA CPU but tradepac refused to change it.

Been buying from tradepac for 5 years plus already and this is the first time it happened.

Thanks

U can try, say its DOA. Dun tell them there is a bent pin. Say u cant power up.

If u go to distro, sure take 4 weeks. What mobo u bought? How did u handle it? Sometimes, it could be ur fault as well.

If say DOA, will they check the pins?

ASRock Z97 Killer. Trying to build a similar rig for my cousin as a gift for his birthday this coming June.

I just telly the serial no., didn't open the socket to see. Haiz

I'm not sure whether is it my fault or not but i can ensured that there's no bumps etc on my way home.

If they check and found the pins, u gg le, must bring back to distro.

Did u remove the socket cover? If not, how u know gt bent pins?

Yup, red led and fan spin for 0.1 sec and stop.

Sadly, must go back shop. U can try, but if kena rejected, then bo bian need go to distro. Asrock service centre will check very thoroughly, i kena before. It will take 3-4 weeks as they will send back to fix it. that is if they found out that there is a bent pin.

If they really see the pins, then i just act as though i never see it in the first place.

That time I went to BL to RMA my mobo with bent pins, I was surprised they honour it and swap for a new piece on the spot.

I will go back tradepac first, if tradepac there failed as they refused to change the motherboard for me. I'll go down to Asview, hopefully they honored. I just got it today just before SLS closed for the day around 7.30pm :(

Asrock will send back for sure. Last time, my mobo gt issues, i remove cpu and brought over. They found bent pin. But that mobo was used for months before removing cou . Although ut could b my fault in removing cpu. I oso didnt know abt the bent pin.

They took it and sent back. Waited 3-4 weeks jus for a bent pin.
