Actually it's just marketing strategy.. obviously they list a lower price to draw crowds into showroom la.

chill la, 7k over 10years.. not enough to feed you 3meals a day.

It's only $1.50 a day

hahahahha

some people really... buy car already but headache over $1.50 a day matters.

so why they can drop 7k? because they lower down their COE reserve price la.

so now COE 58k, their reserve price probably 50k or less only?

Hi. I need some advise. I have paid for my new car at 106k. With the recent drop of the coe of 2.3k for cat A. i would expect similar drop of 2 to 3k for the new car price. However the revised car price dropped by 7k!!. Today suppose to pay up the remaining balance.

Is there anyway i could re-negotiate with the AD. 7k is really a big sum of money.

Can anyone advise me what can i do now? Is it a suck thumb scenerio?
Can't do nothing about it. The AD has also committed their own purchase from the principal. If they allow this, it's going to open up floodgates. Imagine if car price drop next month by 20k, there will be hundreds of people who bought at 99K asking for refund.

Mazda 3....i feel being ripped off.

I ordered mine in mid jun and i got the coe at 58.7k. supposed to go down to pay the balance today and realised the new car price is 99k. Can i talk to their mgt about it.

you ordered after 17 Jun?

so did you order before 17 Jun, or after? I'm taking "mid jun" as before, unless you clarify otherwise.

I understand but coe drop by 2.3k only and the car price drop by 7k leh.
Car price movements are not necessarily tied to COE movements. For luxury cars, COE fluctuate but AD normally try to "absorb". Mazda may have dropped price for competitive reasons also.

Just relax. I understand the pain but this is something out of your control, it's part of life - win some, lose some. Just STOP checking out car prices and you'll be fine.

You sign, you tied to the price upon signing

Know how to buy car don't know how to read / understand?

Got to see as sometimes currency, company target of sales, stock qty also determines the car pricing.

In this case, you have signed on the dotted line and agree upon the pricing. Anyway you have calculated and means its within your affordability range, my advise is you can check but don pin much hopes on it.

Good luck.

Property price fluctuations are even more...may be 70K instead of 7k

Bottom line is, buy already dont look back.

Agree. Buy liao means can enjoy earlier. Furthermore price of car is based in various factors as other bros already stated. Even for coe it is not based on current coe. Instead it is based on the future coe based on the AD's projection. As a result of this projection, a drop in car price will result in a drop in reserve price for coe. Meaning that it is harder to get money back even if coe drops
