Need comments for my rig

Hi Im a total non IT noob here 1st time buiding a rig, need advices from fellow experts here for my configuration and also case & monitor selection. All advices & suggestion welcome
Currently looking at:

i5-4460 + msi b85m-g43
Crucial 8gb ddr3
Crucial MX100 256gb ssd
Wd green 3 tb
Powercolor r9 270 2gb turbo duo
Superflower hx 600 80+ gold semi mod
Lg dvd rom
Win7 Home 64bit oem

Casing:
Fractal Design Define R4 artic white/
Cooler master silencio 550 white/
Thermaltake Urban s31 snow white/
any other nice white casing suggestion?

Monitor:
Philips 234E5QHAW/ Dell U2414H/ other suggestion?

Reason for casing and monitor is purely due to aesthetic reason being they are all white to suit my house reno. Which of the casing is better or is there other recommendation?

Understand that a lot of people prefer dell monitor U2414H but sadly its not white. However is the Philips monitor good enough since I could not find any recommendation on this monitor.

Finally I would like to assemble at PC themes but their pricelist price is a lot higher than what is stated in this forum(sometimes more than $30 for a single component!). Will they be quoting a lower price to match/close to the price given in this forum here? if not I would most likely buy from tradepac n diy since nigel shop will not be open for a week. Hopefully I wont get con by the abnns in tradepac

If u dun need optical drive u can consider nzxt h440

Might wan to consider wd red over green

White monitor hmm..not too sure but I think the u2414h is a good choice

My budget is around 1.7k

NZXT H440 is really nice, but I still need the optical drive though.

What is the difference between red and green? I don't mind paying more as reliability of the drive and data is more important to me.

Red is made for raid set up, so it's meant for higher level of reliability. Im using red myself and I do think they are pretty damn good without being loud.
