Need CPU+ mobo recommendation for current 1070 PC

Have a budget of $400-450 for a CPU + mobo combo. Reusing existing Silverstone SG13 so need a micro mini atx board. Want to upgrade because current i5-6500 can’t keep up with new online CPU intensive games like BFV and WZ. Maybe BF6 but requirements aren’t out yet. Any recommendations? Not looking to OC.

Err... Intel 6/7 series CPU which some are still using are still capable to handle most games.

What is your current PC specs? If you feel your PC very slow/sluggish opt to reinstall Windows from fresh.

isnt sg13 mini itx?
anyway, $400 isnt a lot for a mini itx mobo + cpu. u most likely need to upgrade ur ram too to have the max performance. if ur comfortable with it, u could get some ryzen 5 2600 + itx b450 board from taobao for about 250 or lower.

A B460 ITX board + i5 10400/F will fit your budget perfectly
