I got a spare GTX550Ti, 3 x 2GB corsair ram and a Asus Essence ST sound card.
Fwah even giving your friend the extra sound card?I got a spare GTX550Ti, 3 x 2GB corsair ram and a Asus Essence ST sound card.
For which games do dual core not suffice?Do you have any spare parts that you could pull over from your old rig/ your friends old rig? And do you have a window OS licence?
Hoping that you won't have to spend on Hardisk, Casing, PSU.
$500 solely on CPU + Motherboard + Graphic card + Ram.
Terence52, i know the meaning of working within budgets, but getting G2020 dun cut it as tomshardware had reviewed. You will be just wasting money getting one. Unless it's for office i guess.
You need at least a quad core or i3 model that can do Hyper-Threading.
CPU & Mobo: i5-3330 & Asrock B75M-DGS @ $298
Starcraft 2 is quite cpu intensive game so it will be better to go for a quad core cpu.
Ram: Kingston 1600mhz value ram 4GB @ $35
ODD: Samsung DVD RW @ $21
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 500GB @ $60
GPU: Reuse
Case: ATX case @ $20
PSU: FSP Hexa 500W @ $58
Total: $493
Buy and build at Tradepac.
I think its ok, anyway its collecting dust.Fwah even giving your friend the extra sound card?![]()
