Need Haswell set

Hi All,

Need to get one unit of Haswell set, only need CPU, Motherboard, RAM, PSU, SDD and Casing, do not need any graphic card only play some internet games, thanks...

Purpose of the PC it for my secondary kid.

Target $500.

Can anyone advise me the best combination, thanks...

I dun think currently haswell system in the market can go so low (only i5 or i7).
This Q3 Intel will be releasing the rest of i3 series for haswell.

Currently you would need at least 1 to 1.2k based on ur requirement.

If not suggest to go with AMD's APU.

Only internet games can try those ivy build with an i3.

Asrock b75m dgs + i3-3220 ~ $211
Kingston value ram 4gb ~ $45
Fsp raider silver 450w ~ $68
Seagate 500gb ~ $66
Sharkoon MS140 ~ $52

Total $442 build a tradepac.

After all the consideration i have decide to buy AMD as follows, it can save me on graphic card portion (my kid currently play DOTA2) :

AMD 6800K with Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H $319 (Tradepac)
RAM 8GB $85 (Best Bargain) or 4GB it enough ?
PSU Seasonic S1211 520w $80 (Tradepac)
Casing $65 c/w 4x120mm Fan (Tradepac)
Total $549

OS window XP
Mouse & Keyboard
DvD writer
500gb HDD Seagate

Base on the above spec will AMD better than ivy i3 below ?

If you intend to install windows xp then you may not be able to get future support of drivers.

So reconsider your os options

If you want to save on the gfx card portion and go integrated gfx. Then you can select the amd rig. And yes 4gb would be suffice since you want to install xp.

You don't need till 500w PSU.

You can go lower. Corsair cx430m @ $72 tradepac.

playing on what resolution?
AMD rig is better but once you throw in a 7750 i think the i3 will perform better

Different story bro. You throw in a 7750 into the amd rig it will hybrid xfire. And be way better than the i3 lol

The processing power is about the same as the i3.

But when talking about integrated GPU the a10 6800k triumph over the i3.

If you are just gonna game dota2 it should suffice. Don't forget if in the long run you want to have more gfx performance you can always throw in an 7750 into the rig and do a crossfire hybrid. Which the i3 setup does not have this option.

Also do take note on rams. You might wanna get fast rams in order to boost the gfx. It uses the rams speed in order to be more faster for the integrated GPU. Perhaps a 1866mhz ram to 2133mhz would boost your overall gaming performance.

The gtx 650 is slightly faster by a bit. Can compare with the 7770 instead.

But if you are going for apu rig then the obvious one would be the 7750. Giving you more gfx power when hybrid crossfire is turn on

You gotta go for A75 chip set to lower the cost of the amd rig. The difference is only 2 sata port and also the ability to do crossfire. But both are able to do hybrid crossfire.
