Hi All, please comment my below setting okay ? The below build it for my Secondary 2 kids for some gaming and homework, thanks....

AMD 6800K
$290 MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 + 6800k or
$350 FM2A85X Extreme6 + 6800k
$130 Gskill 2133MHZ 4GBx2 (Tradepac)

MSI > $420
Asrock > $480

Tight budget.:(:(:(

Using back my old system
PSU > HEC 400W enough ?
HDD > 500Gb
ODD > Samsung
OS > Window 7 64bit
Monitor > 19inch LG
Casing > OLD ATX casing can fix in the above Motherboard ?

For future might upgrade to FSP 650w 80+ Silver Raider ($105) and MSI 7850 Graphic card ($200 plus).

The RAM you choose very expensive wor..
Just get 1x8GB stick,~80$
Rest should be OK bah,really like how you chose APU :>
Consider getting 7750/7770

CPU+MB:i3 3220/3120 + Asrock B75M-DGS ~ $220
GPU:7750/7770 ~ $140-$160

I don't think PSU can tank x.x,get a 500w one maybe?
PC Themes got one powercolour 7770+xigmatek 500w for $225

Hi All, to buy A10 6800k cos i want to save the graphic card and PSU, use integrate GPU, can HEC 400w support the below setup ?

400 watts can. apus are not power hungary like the fx processors

can get FSP HEXA 500 watts if u want more headroom or scared .

u can pair up with a 770 /7750 annd HEXA if u want more performance
Ram the faster the better for apus and more ram is better for apus.

Hi melovelinux, thanks will use the 400watts, for higher PSU will buy when i upgrade the graphic card, thanks..

For the casing can i use back the old ATX one ? All newer motherboard (Micro-ATX) can fix it right ?

Can. i have a Matx mb with a ATX case fits just fine

install the stand offs correctly can liao. ( 6 stand offs for Matx)

he dw spend on gpu. hard leh if intel i think this is the bang for buck for his budget.

unless he wants an i3 which is the same level as A106800k.

lets see whats his budget bah

Total $438. Buy at tradepac diy.

2) Can i still use back my HEC 400watt PSU ?
3) Powercolor 7750 1gb better than A10 6800k integrate HD 8670D alot ?

PSU > OLD HEC 400W enough for Ivy or Haswell Build ? :o
Ram > Kinston 4gb DDR 3 1 stick
HDD > 500Gb
ODD > Samsung
OS > Window 7 64bit
Monitor > 19inch LG
Casing > OLD ATX casing

Imo only go Ivy if it's below $300.
Haswell is worth it if u willing to spend the extra
