Need Help! 8D7N Tokyo & Hakone 2014

Hi all,

I need some help and information for my 1st time trip to japan F&E 10 sep to 17 sep 2014. 2 person travelling, both of us never been to japan.

Still in planning stage. Please give me some idea on where to go and how to go.

D1 - Reach japan @ 11am, Going to Hakone stay one night. (Get Hakone Pass at Odakyu Sightseeing Center)
D2 - Hakone and back to Tokyo. Stay @ Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
D3 - Tokyo Skytree
D4 -
D5 -
D6 -
D7 - Disney Sea
D8 - Back to singapore

In Hakone, I plan to book hotel @ Aura Tachibana. I can book from the website, but is there other way to book this hotel in singapore? Any other hotel to recommend?

I'd suggest u move Hakone to another day. Since u arrive at 11am, by the time u reach Hakone it'll probably be around 2.30pm? It's risky to go sightsee considering public transport runs till 5pm. But of cos u can just walk around Yumoto(where your hotel is) and just rest for the night.

My suggestion:

D1 - Ikebukuro, Shinjuku (Metropolitan Building, nightlife, get Hakone Pass at Odakyu Sightseeing Center), Shin-Okubo Korean Town
D2 - Hakone (leave your luggage in Tokyo hotel)
D3 - Hakone
D4 - Ueno(Zoo, Ameyoko Street), Asakusa(Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree), Akihabara(if you are into electronics and anime only)
D5 - Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, Shibuya, Roppongi(Tokyo Tower+Nightlife)
D6 - Odaiba(shopping, play, sightseeing), Ginza(shopping)
D7 - Disney Sea
D8 - Airport

For Aura Tachibana, you can book it from Agoda etc. I stayed at Ashinoko Ichinoyu, which is located at Togendai, the halfway point of the Hakone loop. The location is superb as i only need to walk 5mins to get there after finishing the pirate boat rides.

For the 1st day we will be heading to hakone, just relax not planning too much to do. and We have already book our hotel via https://aps1.travel.rakuten.co.jp/en/en_kakunin.html .

Yup, will need to buy the hakone free pass.

Will be getting the pass when we reach japan.

I would probably schedule Disneysea a couple days earlier than the last full day of the trip. That's because, if it is a rainy day, you can simply just switch it around and visit some other place in Tokyo for that day, then go Disneysea the next day or a couple days later when the weather is better.

That said, avoid going Disneysea on a weekend.
