Hi all

Currently i face a problem of

- Stuttering sound / jerking during online gaming
- Low fps (20-30fps)
- At times the screen will go blank for few seconds and went to desktop, bottom left will show (graphic card is not responding and windows has recovered it.
- Freeze very often during gaming with this window loading icon kept loading, at times i waited like few minutes before it can go back to nomal but sometimes its just keep loading which i have to click on screen to close it.

i had tried reformat and it still has the same issue.
i tried using another old card GTX 560TI, its working perfectly fine.

Cant really figure out is it my graphic card (MSI GTX 670) issue or CPU, has send down the graphic card to corbell service centre but from what they told me this morning everything is working fine.

Below are my specs, hope any gurus can give me some advice.

I5-3570k
Asus Sabertooth z77
Corsair Veng 4GB x 2
Power Supply: 650w
MSI GTX 670

Thanks in advance!

TS,
What games do you play online? It could be a few issue.

  • Online game itself has issue. You have no idea how many incomplete games are released these days. Also once released patch, it might have issues that did not last time.
  • Drive issue. I always read the "Release Notes" on the latest drivers. It tells you which issue have been patch for which games and other games still has issues.
  • GFX issue.
  • PSU issue.
  • OS issue.

From what you have mentioned it's sounds like GFX or driver issue. But since you have swap GFX and it's working fine it's more like GFX problem.

Did the IT engineer test the GFX in front of you? Did the person run 3D bench test for you and show you it was running without issues? Not that I'm saying the engineer is wrong but if you have an intermittent fault on your GFX, it's hard to point out. Best is to bring your whole system there since you brought it once already.

cheers- htkm1

Hi htkm1

I'm currently playing only Blade and Soul CN, didnt really test out on different game
i don't think its possible to bring down the whole system down as i only bring down the GFX only.
At the moment i asked them to send for repair still which will take 8-10 weeks. Its just that i dont know if it still has the same problem after that...

My Gigabyte GTX 670 windforce, like yours had similar issue. I was not able to play BF3 at that time. It was working fine and suddenly one day it would be like what you mentioned.

So went for RMA. the engineer tested in front of me. It was working. Ran all the 3D bench mark tests. It was fine. Brought back home and it still happened. Swap to another nvidia card it worked fine.

Luckily for me my system was on a test bench rack so I brought the entire system down. Tested on my system and it did not run. He swapped a new card and it was running. So got a new card.
