Need help building a entry level mini rig!

Hi guys, my mum comp is really old and giving her many problems so she want me to help her get another comp tomorrow.

I need one whole system except:
mouse
keyboard
monitor
speakers

She will like to go for a mini case if possible, what is the cheapest she can get??

She only use it for excel, words, youtube and facebook.

Yes, that is the case iirc from the unboxing videos of all the Intel NUCs I saw previously. It's like the adapter/powercube is provided, but the mains plug (AC cord) connecting to powercube the isn't there.

Think of the NUC as a laptop, the powercube as the charging brick, and then Intel didn't provide a regional AC cord to go with the thing. Here's a pic;

Just watched few of those unboxing video from YouTube.
The AC Cord is not from normal new bundled PSU off the shelves.
The connector is different which looks like Mickey Mouse Ear.

Thanks, this is really cool too, but can i use a 250gb HD instead of SSD? Or can i check, if i use the 64gb SSD, after installing all the drivers, how much free memory will I still have? Because i believe my mum only needs like at most 20gb of space for herself. thanks!

Nope, there's only one mSATA connector for SSD storage. The last time I installed Win7 on a 64GB SSD, it had like 36-41GB of space left after installation. 64GB is more than enough if it's just for parents' usage.

If anything, you could always get a cheap 500GB internal HDD, put it inside a portable casing for $25, and hook it up to the unit in the future

Afaik, Gigabyte in SLS only have i5 model, and has a higher base cost around $535 because it has a built-in Wi-Fi card as well. The Intel NUC @ $219 has a mobile Celeron from Sandy Bridge era, hence the significantly lower cost.
