Need help building a PC running 24/7

Hi Guys!

I would need to get a pc to run a bot/application 24/7.

I'm a quite noob in PC, did alot of reading but still dont really understand server vs computer, currently using a laptop to do the job but have to reboot every 2days due to lag.

Some concern will be:
To maintain the speed (no lag)
Power consumption

Can I build a custom pc for this purpose? Or do I need to get a server pc from dell/lenovo?

So Hardware can be same but the software needs to be a server OS?

the question isn't the hardware, it's just what software are you running 24/7?

If it's mining its better off you build a spacific mining rig.
Otherwise most custom pc need to depend on what job it has to do

You could probably use a raspberry pi for that. If you need to run Windows then a x86 SBC like the atomic pi would suffice

you could get a beelink x45 in lazada for less than 230. comes with 64GB msata and 4GB ram.
8gb ram version available for 280. processor used is gemini lake, 2x faster than atom z8350. Power consumption wise should be 15w.

I dont recommend atom processor if you plan to use multiple instances.

I second that. I have been running Beelink X55 for 24/7 for almost six months now. I do get an occasional reboot like once a week and I am not sure the reason. Other than that it pretty much run 24/7.

Wow thats seems like the best solution for me! Look up on some youtube reviews it seems great!
