Looking to build a new gaming rig.
Main aim is to play Star Citizen.
Will likely get a occulus rift in the future so screen resolution will be based on it.
budget about $2.8k

Suggest please.

I'm playing Eliteangerous with Rift DK2. I would suggest you hold on first. DK2 is 1080p 75Hz which current high rigs barely can make reach 75fps. The consumer Rift is rumoured to be even higher resolution than DK2, possibly 1440p? I don't know if gtx970/980 is up to the job anot...

woah.. ok.. lets hope that the rift is not a vapour ware.
Big dilemma whether to wait or not. at first wanted to wait but my desktop of 6 years AMD64 X2 just died on me few weeks back. all no sound no picutre

I can only say I wont play Elite without rift anymore...
