Need help choosing new laptop

Hi guys.

I'm interested in purchasing a new laptop. I mainly play dota 2 though i still want it to be able to run most other games at above average settings.
Budget is 2.5k +/-. Cheaper the better.

Any suggestions?

It's very hard to get a laptop that wont become obsolete in a few years time considering processors evolve every 2 years or so. I got an Aftershock X15 last November and after usage so far definitely feel the webcam and soundcard have a lot of room for improvement (sadly those are the kind of things you can't really upgrade unlike the CPU or RAM, haha)

But then again i think it depends more on what you do with your laptop. It's more likely you will hit obsoleteness in a matter of years if you have requirements like being able to play the latest games, etc cos those will keep pushing hardware to the limits.

Yeah I understand. I just mean I want it to be able to run games decently in the near future. For now I just need a laptop to run games at above average settings. I mainly play dota 2 so I don't think I need smth too good. I'm thinking of getting aftershock as well but would like to consider other options

hmm well 2.5k should be able to get you most of the gaming laptops out there, aftershock included provided you dont customise with too-costly things. Think maybe you'll have to consider specific requirements like size, etc so ppl can make more informed recommendations.
